Burbage Police Happy New Year Patrols Key and Vehicle Theft (Leicestershire Police)

Hello,

We hope you have had a nice break. Happy new year to you all.

Over the Christmas period we have completed late night and overnight patrols in Burbage. There were no reports of residential burglary or theft from vehicles between the 17th December and the 26th December.

In response to resident concerns we patrolled areas raised by residents and as a result, completed one arrest, multiple searches and recovered a quantity of drugs from the Banky Meadow area.

During this time period, other areas of Leicestershire including Barwell and Braunstone have suffered from vehicle crime and residential burglary so please continue to be mindful of home/vehicle security.

Sometime between 22:00 on 24th and 09:30 on the 25th December, a brick was thrown through a car window on East close. No items were taken. Please get in touch if you have any information around this incident. Crime number 21000748552

Land Rover Range Rover taken from a property on Rugby Road (between The Ridgeway and Sketchley Road) on 27th December between 15:15 and 15:35. Believed to be a keyless entry.
