Burbage Police Newsletter And Weekly Update (Leicestershire Police)
We hope you have had a good Bank holiday weekend. It has been a good week regarding crime figures in Burbage this week with no reports of stolen vehicles or residential burglaries.
Please see attached our monthly Burbage Police newsletter with this month’s priorities as decided by Burbage residents. You can have your say using the links at the bottom of this email.
We would really appreciate if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a 5 question survey around Policing in your area. https://forms.office.com/r/RKvrnb5eMx Thank you very much.
We received a couple of calls from the areas of Brookside and Azalea Drive regarding door to door sales. Please consider door chains and do not open the door if you do not know who it is. You can print off your own no cold calling sign here https://www.friendsagainstscams.org.uk/shopimages/no%20cold%20calling/sticker.pdf
Over the last month there were incidents of theft from vehicles at locations such as the Jurys Inn Hotel and a couple of other car parks around Burbage. Just a general message but if you are leaving your vehicle on a car park or somewhere unfamiliar, please ensure it is locked and nothing is left inside.
Email scam received from resident wishing to raise awareness.
Email from Sky UK claiming the “classic version of Sky you are using on your computer will no longer work. For continued use of your Sky or basic mail just update your Email address”. They then provide a link.
The Email does look convincing so please directly contact any business rather than calling numbers or clicking links within suspicious messages. You can also block/report these messages if you receive them.
Our local priorities are in response to the feedback we get from our Neighbourhood link surveys, provided by you. The more people completing them, the better picture we get of what residents would like us to address and any positive things you would like to say.
You may automatically get a reminder to complete a survey monthly if you requested to fill in surveys. You can use the links below to complete surveys. Drop me a message if you would like to fill in surveys going forward and I will change the setting for you.
