Drink Driving Vehicle Crime And Please Visit Us (Leicestershire Police)
Burglary reported at Sapcote Road industrial estate at around 02:45 on the 27th of May. Entrance was made and several items including desktops were taken. It appears there was also an attempt vehicle theft whilst at the location. The investigation is ongoing but get in touch if you have any information and you have not already spoken to officers. 22000302835
Following a report of concern for safety on Windsor Street at around 17:00 on the 27th May, officers attended and a suspect was arrested for Drunk in charge driving.
Report of a van window being smashed on Hillrise. A fuel card was taken. The incident happened sometime between the 22nd and 24th of May. There have also been sporadic reports over the last few weeks of theft from vehicles including vans. They have mainly been targeted on car parks such as Hinckley Island Hotel or left on street locations for several days. Do Not leave items in vehicles especially on display like we spotted in the picture this morning in Burbage.
Spotted in Burbage today. Tools and bags left in van. Easy target for opportunistic criminals.
Report of a suspicious vehicle at 22:45 on Ilminster Close on the 27th of May. Officers attended and the vehicle was recovered under “used in crime” powers.
Report of a road traffic collision on Rugby Road on the 28th of May at around 22:30. Officers attended and one arrest made for drunk in charge driving. Vehicle recovered. The investigation is ongoing.
Whilst completing patrols, officers completed a stop check on a vehicle on Brookside at around midnight on the 28th of May. The vehicle was recovered due to Section 165 no insurance.
Some good work by officers, taking dangerous drivers off our roads and keeping our roads that little bit safer. It is a shame in this day and age, a minority still find it appropriate to drink drive.
