Have your say on Market Bosworth Masterplan
Published Wednesday, 25 November 2020
Residents and businesses are being invited to have their say on a masterplan that will guide the development of land South of Station Road in Market Bosworth.
Earlier this year Birmingham-based planning consultants Define were appointed to create an overall masterplan and development strategy for the site. The consultants were tasked with creating a development of high quality design in keeping with the distinctiveness of the town, with affordable housing well integrated into the scheme, business units for existing and new companies and appropriate community facilities.
Following an informal consultation on the draft masterplan that took place over the summer, a formal public consultation has now begun. The consultation will run until 5pm on 22 December 2020.
Matt Bowers, Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council Director (Environment & Planning) said “We continue to work in partnership with Market Bosworth Parish Council and St Peter’s Church to bring forward this proposed major development in Market Bosworth. The masterplan will be used to secure a developer to ensure this key development site in the borough secures a high quality scheme.”
Take part in the consultation. In light of current restrictions the council is unable to make printed copies of the documents available to pick up from the Hinckley Hub or at the Market Bosworth Library so anyone without internet access who wishes to take part can request a printed copy by calling 01455 238141.
