No tricks, just treats as ‘Spooktacular Saturday’ returns to Hinckley
Look out for ghosts, ghouls, witches and wizards in Hinckley town centre on Saturday 30 October, 10am to 3pm when the town centre hosts its annual Spooktacular event.
Spooktacular Saturday offers fun for all the family. Come into town in your Halloween costumes with prizes for the best dressed, (competition takes place at 1pm). Free activities on the day include pumpkin bowling, freaky face paint stenciling, creepy crafts, spooky stone painting with Islastones painting and a themed stilt walker.
Bring in your carved pumpkin and display at the event with prizes to be won. Local radio station Fosse 107 will be providing the spooky soundtrack to the day – enjoy the sounds of Thriller, Monster Mash, Ghost Busters and many more.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to join in the fun and dress up in their Halloween costumes and enjoy some frightful fun and have a fang-tastic day out in haunted Hinckley.
Executive Member for Culture and Leisure at the Borough Council, Councillor Keith Nichols said:
This event has proven increasingly popular year on year. After a year-long break due to coronavirus, families, even with the youngest of children, can take part and enjoy all things Halloween at a day-time event within a safe and controlled environment.
