Police Activity Dogs Crime Prevention and Have Your Say In Burbage (Leicestershire Police)

Hello,

Hope you are well and here is an update for you on recent activity in Burbage.

An arrest has been made over the last few days following active patrols by officers in and around Burbage in response to recent vehicle crime. We are currently investigating the recent vehicle crime in the area and the suspicious activity.

A vehicle was also seized on Wellington Close around Midnight on the 20th of March. This was a result of officers completing patrols and stop checking suspicious activity in the area.

Whilst we have had a few days of no vehicle related incidents, please continue to be vigilant and report suspicious activity immediately to 101 or 999.

We held our crime prevention event at the Millennium Hall on Sunday. It was great to see so many residents and hopefully the many items sold such as car key wallets, window alarms and fence spikes. Hopefully crime prevention methods along with our patrols will help reduce the chances of Burbage residents becoming victims of crime. I know lots of residents have invested in CCTV, steering locks and car key wallets, so thank you and hopefully it helps.

(one of our many events and beat surgeries to engage with residents around local issues)

Stretton Close. A resident’s window was smashed on the night of March 17th at around 21:25. It is suspected that the suspects parked in a silver box van around the Hillside/Greenmoor Road junction with Rugby Road. If you have any doorbell footage of the registration please get in touch. The silver van may have driven down Greenmoor road onto Hillside between 21:00-21:25. Crime number 22000158853.

We get reports around concerns for dog walkers/dog behaviour around the village. We ask all dog owners to be responsible and considerate for other dog walkers, children and residents in the area. Take a look at this HBBC site for more information on dog fouling, dog warden service, reporting lost dos or cats and microchipping. https://www.hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk/dogsandcats
If the dog seems to be out of control, let us know by calling 101.

If you are in a position to collect evidence of the dog’s behaviour or identify the owner, this really helps us address the concerns raised. Please never put yourself at risk and do not try to confront irresponsible dog owners.

Our local priorities are in response to the feedback we get from our Neighbourhood link surveys, provided by you. The more people completing them, the better picture we get of what residents would like us to address and any positive things you would like to say. You may automatically get a reminder to complete a surveys monthly if you requested to fill in surveys. You can use the links below to complete surveys. Drop me a message if you would like to fill in surveys going forward and I will change the setting for you.
