Road near Bradgate Park closes as police deal with collision
A busy county road that runs along the borders of Bradgate Park was closed after three people were knocked down in a collision.
Officers of the Leicestershire Police force closed Bradgate Road at the junction of Groby Lane and Bracken Hill in Newtown Linford.
Motorists were warned to find a different route as emergency services dealt with the incident.
A force spokesperson confirmed that officers were called at 4.39pm following a report of a collision “involving a car and three pedestrians”.
LeicestershireLive understands that the three pedestrians were together in the same area at the time of the collision.
Three people were taken to hospital. The nature of their injuries was not confirmed.
Enquiries continued at the scene following the incident.
The road reopened at around 7pm.
